What is the Orphans Endowment Fund?

The OEWF is unique program that brings sunshine and hope into the lives of the many orphans and vulnerable children in our community. There are more than two million orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa.

The Orphans Endowment Fund (OEWF) is unique in that it provides for the needs of the most vulnerable in our community in a sustainable way and one which is eternally rewarding for the participants in the Fund.

Our Programmes

In needy communities, when parents die or a surviving adult is chronically or terminally ill, children face having to care for themselves and their siblings.

Winter Warmth Program

The winter period in South Africa sees a number of deaths and suffering due to harsh conditions, with people forced into poverty being disproportionately affected.

Ready for School Program

Every year, hundreds of school children are left with the reality of having no school stationery or uniforms to welcome them back to the new school year.

The Care and Support Program

Funds from the OEWF are used to support Islamic Relief South Africa’s projects benefiting orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) in South Africa.

How to Assist?

The OEWF offers the opportunity for every caring person to participate in the caring of Orphans and Vulnerable Children. You will become a participant in a countrywide community driven project that has the potential to grow into a substantial Fund that will make a meaningful difference to the lives of so many in our community.

Making a Difference
